The journey

Follow the route.

Arusha Tarangire Serengeti Ngorongoro Arusha

Begin with a night in Arusha, then follow a northern Tanzania route through Tarangire, the Serengeti and Ngorongoro. Tarangire brings baobabs and elephant country; the Serengeti opens into grasslands and rocky kopjes; Ngorongoro adds a change of altitude and a day on the crater floor. Flights connect the safari regions, with 3 nights each in Tarangire and the Serengeti and two nights near Ngorongoro.

Good to know

Before you go.

Your quote confirms availability, stays, connections and inclusions. Wildlife sightings and weather vary.

How does this differ from the eight-day journey?

Both journeys follow Arusha, Tarangire, the Serengeti and Ngorongoro. The ten-day version keeps one night in Arusha and two near Ngorongoro, then adds a third night in both Tarangire and the Serengeti. It is a good fit if you want longer stays without adding another destination.

How is the Serengeti stay chosen?

Your safari base is selected for your travel dates, route and availability. Ask for the proposed accommodation and location in your written itinerary before booking. Wildlife movements vary naturally, and neither a particular sighting nor a migration river crossing can be promised.

Are the flights and game drives private?

The standard itinerary is a small-group fly-in safari with shared game drives. Exclusive arrangements are available to enquire about. SkySafari’s baggage allowance is 23 kg total per person, comprising up to 20 kg of soft checked baggage and 3 kg of hand baggage; connecting flights may have different rules.

What needs confirming for our dates?

Request the complete flight and transfer plan, named accommodation, activities and an itemised quote, including the treatment of park and conservancy fees. International flights, visas, tips, premium drinks and optional activities are separate considerations. The final Arusha lunch or day room depends on availability and your international departure timing.
